Klimas leaves KeyCorp to lead Ohio private school

Bank's former head of wealth management switches focus to child education. Carol Klimas has left KeyCorp, where she was headed the bank's wealth-management business, to become president of Lake Ridge Academy, a Cleveland-based private school.

"In this day and age of financial challenges for schools of all types, the senior leader of an independent school must possess the abilities of a chief executive officer," says Lee Howley, chairman of Lake Ridge's board of directors. "Carol brings outstanding credentials in terms of leadership, organizational skills and financial acumen to this position. Most important, the board was impressed with her passion for children and the quality of their education."

Klimas joined Cleveland-based KeyCorp in 1992.

Lake Ridge "has built an academic program second to none among private school institutions," says Klimas. "One of my most important responsibilities as president of Lake Ridge will be to effectively marshal the resources to take the school to the next level of achievement in every respect."

Lake Ridge Academy educates boys and girls from Kindergarten through grade 12. -FWR
